193-80 electric motor proves its performance on the racetrack

UPM MotoStudent Electric has been putting Electrified Motors’ 193-80 electric motor through its paces as the team continues development of its latest electric racing motorcycle.

The team from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid recently returned to Circuito de Madrid Jarama – RACE for another round of testing, where they improved their fastest lap time by four seconds compared with their previous test session.

Just as encouraging was their feedback on the 193-80 motor’s performance in the demanding Spanish summer conditions, with stable operating temperatures maintained throughout testing using our standard air-cooled design.

Our partner Sev85 was also involved in the project, with Marc Pages working with the team to validate the motor and its performance.

The team is now analysing telemetry data and refining its control maps as development continues ahead of the next MotoStudent competition.
